Some of our white gold has been coated with rhodium to further enhance brilliance.Where diamond weights of 10 points and above are quoted these are total guaranteed minimum weights.
All chains are approximately 18" long unless otherwise stated.
All earrings are for pierced ears unless otherwise stated.
All items are offered subject to availability and may not be stocked in all stores.
Descriptions
None of our diamonds are treated by laser drilling or fracture filling as found in some
countries and other shops & websites.
All items described as “Freshwater Pearl” are freshwater Cultured Pearls.
"Mystic Topaz" and "Pink Topaz" sold by us is natural precious topaz which has been coated with a surface treatment to create the colour effect seen. While these are hard-wearing and the only way to produce these attractive colours, this treatment may not be permanent for life.
"Opal Triplet" consists of a layer of natural precious opal between a layer of colourless quartz (for protection) and a layer of black onyx (to create the dark field resembling black opal).
Any other treatments of gemstones sold by F. Hinds are permanent in nature, common to the gem and jewellery trade worldwide and do not need to be described in the way seen above. We do not sell any synthetic versions of natural gemstones such as ruby, sapphire or emerald. These man-made stones are often described as "Created" by the retailers & websites that choose to sell them. So if you see a stone described as "Ruby", "Opal", etc. on our website or in our shops, you can be assured that it is a natural, precious stone.
We do not sell any substances that might harm endangered species (such as ivory), whether banned or not, and we do not currently stock any coral as we are not satisfied that it is guaranteed to come from sustainable sources.
Prices
We will ensure that the price of all goods and services we are offering are clear and easily found. This means we will show the actual price clearly and there will be no hidden extras, such as taxes or packaging. A postage/delivery charge will be clearly indicated on the order form and we will show the total price you pay before you confirm the order.
The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following exceptions: (i) While we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. (ii) Due to the nature of our business, it is possible that we may have to change the price of items made from precious metal between accepting your order and delivery (this has never happened so far).
If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered or we have to change a price, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you have already paid for such cancelled goods you will receive a full refund.
Savings
Where we are able to save you money, we like you to be able to see the amount you are saving. This is why some products on the site have two prices shown against them.
Items where the previous price is described as "WAS" have been sold at this higher price in some/all of our retail outlets and/or on the website for a minimum of 28 days in the previous six months.
Many items where "RRP" is shown have also been sold in our shops, but some may be online exclusive offers. In this case the F. Hinds price represents a saving against the Manufacturer’s "RRP" (Recommended Retail Price).
Exclusive to F Hinds
Where an item is marked "Exclusive to F. Hinds", this means that it is exclusively supplied in the UK to us by the manufacturer. Such items may be for sale in other countries although frequently they are not. Similarly, it is possible that you could sometimes find a similar product in the UK from a different manufacturer. This could either be a copy of our design or an independently designed product. Where a design is of a classic nature and/or similar versions are highly likely to be available, we do not state "Exclusive to F. Hinds" even if this is actually the case.
Ways of Paying
We do tell you all the different ways of paying and tell you clearly how to pay.
