Why You Should Have Your Jewellery Valued

Peace of Mind Your jewellery is precious and it is important to protect it.  We hope of course that nothing ever happens to your items but should the worst ever happen it is best to be prepared. Protecting your jewellery In the event that your jewellery is ever lost or stolen and you need to make a claim your insurance company will probably ask for proof of ownership and a professional valuation of your items. An F Hinds professional valuation will provide just this and in the hopeful event that the police recover your possessions, would help you to prove ownership and get them back.

How do I go about getting my jewellery valued? It's simple. Take your jewellery items along to any of our stores and they will be happy to advise you on how long the service will take and will also provide information on the cost depending upon how many items you require valuing. If you decide to go ahead a full receipt for all of your items will be provided whilst they are in our care. The valuation is carried out by registered valuers and the process takes approximately three to four weeks. Your jewellery will be cleaned, weighed, measured and photographed. You will receive your own personal folder containing a full detailed description of each item together with the above information. Why not come to a Valuation Day? We hold regular valuation day events within our stores throughout the year. These are very popular with our customers as they provide the opportunity to talk face to face with the valuer where you can learn more about your jewellery.  Your jewellery is cleaned, weighed, measured and all these details are recorded along with a full description of each item and presented to you in a professional portfolio. Valuations on the day are by appointment only.
