JEWELLERS F. HINDS OPENS SHOWCASE STORE

IN THE CENTRE OF BLACKPOOL

On Saturday 5th May 2007, F. Hinds will open its new central Blackpool store with a stunning five-window shop frontage and a massive selection of diamond, gold and silver jewellery as well as watches, clocks, gifts and collectibles. With an 18-brand range of watches, such as Calvin Klein, Citizen, Fossil and Police to name just four of the most popular, it will have the largest selection of any F. Hinds’ high street or shopping centre store.

The store will be opened by Mr Harry Mogg, an F. Hinds’ former store delivery driver/head office caretaker and known by everyone in the company, now living in retirement in Fleetwood. Members of the Hinds family will ably assist him in the ‘cutting the ribbon’ ceremony - F. Hinds is a family run and owned company with the fourth and fifth generation greatly involved on a day-to-day basis. The sixth generation is currently ‘under development’, with the youngest member Charlie, son of Andrew Hinds (Sales and Marketing Director), just a few weeks old.

The store is managed by Simon Rea (49), who was previously the manager at F. Hinds' Telford branch, following a 32-year career with F. Hinds that has included branches at Gloucester, Luton and Watford. A staff of ten, all of whom have been recruited locally, will assist him.

The 1,500sq.ft. ground floor, plus two further storey store (32 Victoria Street FY1 4RA, tel. 01252 753269) is adjacent to the Winter Gardens and the Grand Theatre and has an impressive five window display devoted to gold, diamond and silver jewellery, Lladró porcelain, clocks and its unparalleled range of watches. Following the extensive modernisation and refit, Blackpool shoppers will be immediately impressed with the quality and style of the modern displays.
