High Street By Design Winners 2016

September 2016

Jewellers F.Hinds and International Jewellery London (IJL) are delighted to announce the four winners of the High Street By Design 2016 competition:

Current Jewellery Designer - Indika Wijayarathna from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with 'Glowing Sun’ Earrings

Student Jewellery Designer - Joanna Harris from Purley, Surrey, UK/City Lit, London with ‘Circles’ Pendant

Jewellery Lovers
1. Up to 18 Category - Indira Buckley (10) from Horwich, Greater Manchester, UK with ‘Heart Stars’ Bracelet
2. Over 18 Category - Anayawa Nyambe from Lusaka, Zambia with 'Rose’ Ring

All four pieces will be displayed at the 'Supporting The Industry Stand' - D121 during the show, with a champagne reception on Tuesday 6th September at 11am, where Joanna Harris and Indira Buckley will be available for photographs and interview.

As can be seen from the international slant to the winners, the appeal of the competition has become global, with entries from as far as Japan right across the world to the west coast of America, and since the competition’s inception the number of entries has grown exponentially. Highly Commended was awarded to four other entries, one of whom was Indira’s sister Freya, who will also be at IJL on Tuesday morning – perhaps two designers to look out for in the future?

Following the show all four pieces will be available for sale online and also in F.Hinds’ 118 stores. A catalogue of all the winners since 2011 can be found here, as well as details on how to enter the next High Street By Design 2017 competition.
