Making a positive difference

Whether it’s how we source our diamonds and gold, supporting our communities or our commitment to recycling and upcycling – we’re committed to doing the right things to make a positive difference. For today, and tomorrow.

Our diamond principles

We’re passionate about diamonds – not just how they look, but making sure they’re from legitimate sources.

We don’t stock synthetic diamonds, or conflict diamonds – and that’s a guarantee.

We’re proud to be a World Diamond Mark Foundation member, and the UK’s only current retailer to be an Authorised Diamond Dealer®. All our diamonds are supplied using the Kimberley Process – a UN and EU-approved system for sourcing uncut stones.

Our approach to gold

Gold is beautiful – but mining it isn’t always the most ethical process. We’re proud to have led the way in the jewellery industry when it comes to combatting ‘dirty gold’.

We source and buy direct, so we know what we’re offering. That means ensuring the gold we sell is not produced at the expense of communities, workers and the environment. And we fully support the jewellery industry’s Golden Rules.

We use a percentage of recycled gold when making our pieces. And because all of our gold is hallmarked, you can always be sure you’re getting the genuine article.

A golden approach >

Supporting the nation

We’re committed to supporting national charities whose work chimes with our family values – including Save the Children and BBC Children in Need. We do this by developing and selling products on their behalf.

Our Pudsey Collection raises money to support the lives of children and young people across the UK. 35% from the sale of each exclusive product is donated to BBC Children In Need.

Just one of the ways that we’re committed to making a positive difference to the world around us.

Helping the community

Home is where the heart is – and with 118 stores across the country, we’re proud to back the local communities we’re part of.

For example, every penny of our 5p carrier bag levy goes into the areas we serve. We’ve also donated over £33,000 raised from our watch scrappage scheme to local causes.

It all goes to support individual community projects, school fundraisers and more. And we encourage our in-store teams to get involved themselves too.
