One In A Million™ Pink Diamonds
Are Pink Diamonds Natural?

Here at F.Hinds, the pink diamonds that we sell in our One in a Million™ collection are 100% natural. This means that they are not artificially treated, lab grown or synthetically coloured unlike some of the pink diamonds that available in the UK today. Because of this, we can proudly say that we are the only jeweller in the UK with a range of affordable, natural pink diamond jewellery!
Pink diamonds that are created in a lab are quite different to natural pink diamonds because manufacturers are unable to replicate the way these diamonds are formed in nature. This means that the most sought after, beautiful pink diamonds are natural.

How are Pink Diamonds Made?

Pink diamonds must be a certain level of colour to be graded as such, and all the diamonds in our One in a Million™ collection meet this standard. GIA researchers have confirmed that the colour of pink diamonds comes from a unique and natural geological circumstance, where there has been a natural distortion in the stone’s crystal structure.
Natural pink diamonds are formed in many hues with pink as the primary colour, ranging from red to purple and faint to dark. The most valuable pink diamonds are a ‘vivid pink,’ but these aren’t very affordable, which is why we opt to sell more affordable softer pink diamonds instead. For example, The Pink Star diamond is the most expensive cut diamond ever sold at auction, selling for $71 million in 2017!
Where Do Pink Diamonds Come From?

Up until 2020, between 80% to 90% of pink diamonds were found in the Argyle Mine in Australia. Unfortunately, due to the lack of diamonds available, the mine had to close leading to the loss of our primary source of Pink Diamonds.
Today, pink diamonds are only occasionally found in diamond mines, with fewer than 1 in 1,000,000 mined diamonds being gem quality natural pink diamonds – hence the name of our very own pink diamond collection “One in a Million™.”
In short, pink diamonds are extremely rare and valuable and they will only become even more so in the future!
F.Hinds Pink Diamonds: One in a Million
Having been given access to pink diamonds, we have been able to create our own exclusive collection, so you too can be a One in a Million™ pink diamond wearer. Plus, there’s the added cachet of owning a gem that’s not only already exceedingly rare but with limited, future supply as it is anticipated that within just ten years natural pink diamonds will be even rarer.
Our collection merges not just rare pink diamonds but 9ct white and rose gold to complement the romantic pink hues.
