Bespoke Ruby Ring
Posted on: 26/01/2016The brief:
To create an antique looking cluster ring incorporating diamonds and two princess cut rubies.
The process:
The first stage of the process was to secure the customers brief and pass this on to our design team who generated a sketch of the final design shown here. The design was agreed and two princess cut rubies were sourced and shown to the customer for approval.A specially-made head set with diamonds was then cast to fit the shape of the stones perfectly and this was joined to a tapered 9ct yellow gold shank. The stones were then set by a specialist stone setter before being returned to us for finishing and polishing.
This was a lovely job to work on where a customer had a very specific design in mind which couldn't be found elsewhere on the high street. This type of work involves a good level of communication between the designers and the customer to ensure the final product meets expectations.
