Opal Matching Set

The customer had 3 stunning opals that they wanted to make into a ring and a pair of earrings.
The process:
A customer visited us with a sentimental set of three opals that had broken away from a cherished piece of jewellery. Unsure of exactly what they wanted, they sat down with one of our in-store team members to explore a few ideas and possibilities.
Together, they decided to send the opals to our Bespoke Design team for a closer look. During inspection, it was noted that one of the stones had a delicate crack running through its centre. To preserve its integrity, we recommended leaving it undisturbed in its existing setting and building the new design around it.
Once the customer gave the go-ahead, our designers brought several earring styles to life through detailed CAD drawings. This gave the customer a clear visual of each option, making it easier to choose the perfect fit.
To keep the set cohesive, we mirrored the setting style in the ring, creating a rub-over design. After some careful consideration, the customer selected hook wire drop earrings to complement the ring, and we moved into production.
Just four weeks later, the customer returned to collect their newly transformed treasures. They were thrilled with the final pieces - proudly wearing all three opals once again, now beautifully reimagined and ready for a new chapter.
