Platinum Diamond Set Fitted Wedding Ring

To design and manufacture a diamond set fitted wedding ring in platinum.
The process:
This customer was the owner of a stunning platinum diamond solitaire engagement ring and wanted a matching platinum diamond set wedding ring to sit perfectly alongside it.The customer presented us with a vague design (shown above) and the engagement ring was sent off for moulding. Along with the mould, we submitted a rough design of the wedding ring detailed below:
Two CAD drawings were then presented to us:
We did not think this was 'fitted' enough as there were gaps by the setting, so we asked the designers to revise and come back to us with a less curved wedding ring, and more of an exact cut-out. Here are the revised designs:
As you can see, these final CAD designs are perfect: a fully fitted diamond set wedding ring to sit snuggly up against the setting of the engagement ring. From a simple mould of the engagement ring, we were able to produce an exact wedding ring line-up as if the two rings were made for each other.
