F.Hinds Luton opened originally at 5 Park Place in 1919 and was retained by Frank Hinds (from whom the 'F' of F.Hinds took its name) in 1924 when the family business was split between him and his brother William. The shop moved to the Arndale Centre in 1972 where it did business until 1993, before reopening again in The Mall (previously the Arndale Centre) in 2020.
