Due to the closure of our store network we are unable to take any reservation orders and have had to scale back the range of stock shown on the website.. We have restricted the range of products displayed online to those we have stock available for same/next day dispatch or where manufacturers are still able to supply items on a special order basis (these have longer delivery times between 2 and six weeks). We are still able to take and process orders for lines currently showing as available online and where offered would recommend choosing the 'Express Delivery' option. 5 Of The Biggest Engagement Ring Trends For 2020
Posted on: 11/12/2019
With the new year commmencing we're already looking to see what the top jewellery and watch trends will be. We get so excited when it comes to engagement rings because they symbolise such a happy time in life, not to mention they always include sparkling diamonds or beautiful gemstones! Follow along with us today while we show off the engagement rings that we’re going to see lots of in 2020…
Over the past two years we’ve seen the popularity of rose gold soar. Many of our customers have chosen to mix rose gold jewellery and watch combinations that look beautiful when worn together. With its rosy, warm hues rose gold jewellery matches flawlessly with yellow gold and many other warmer-toned accessories. In 2020, we’re expecting the public’s love of rose gold to blossom for engagement rings too. Many of our customers already have a large rose gold jewellery and watch collection, so a romantic rose gold engagement ring will be the cherry on top for those who say ‘yes’ in 2020!
Over the past decade we’ve seen modern bright metals like platinum and white gold take charge of the engagement ring market. But, in 2020, things are going to take a slightly different turn! Yellow gold engagement rings are making a comeback and we’re going to see lots more traditional designs. The great thing about yellow gold is that it can be simple, vintage-style or modern – it’s all down to the style of the ring you choose.
Vintage style engagement rings will also prove to be quite popular next year with fiancés-to-be opting for older-style designs that are full of character. Think of lots of art-deco inspired pieces with clean bold lines and geometric patterns that are pleasing to the eye. Many will opt for a contemporary twist on the art-deco style and choose design elements from different time periods for a super unique look. There’s no doubt we’ll be seeing more pearls and interesting gemstones too, as these are the signatures of vintage-style jewellery pieces.
Even though in 2020 we’re expecting many traditional engagement ring styles to come back into fashion, we’re also going to see the modern halo engagement ring continue to be popular. With many celebs opting for halo engagement rings over the past couple of years the halo engagement ring is still taking the world by storm. Halo engagement rings have a centre diamond or cluster of diamonds surrounded by a ‘halo’ of smaller stones – providing optimum sparkle and shine. Gemstone lovers could also choose to have a gemstone included in the centre of the halo ring, combining different stones for a truly unique look.
Couples want to let their personality shine through more than ever, starting with the engagement ring. More women will be opting for engagement rings with their favourite gemstone in, perhaps to symbolise their birthstone or their favourite colour, or maybe even a colour that’s important to the couple. Gemstones are a great way to make elegant styles look brighter and bolder, and with so much choice available it’s hard not to find a gemstone you love.
With all the options available finding the perfect engagement ring can seem like a daunting process, but here at F.Hinds we have trained advisors in store, via email and over the phone to help you to make the right choice.
