Autumn Jewellery Trends 2017
Posted on: 19/09/2017Our days are darker, the weather is colder and we're swapping our short sleeved tops for cosy jumpers and shirts. It's autumn! In come the warm drinks, deeper colours and a whole new season of jewellery trends! Read on to discover what's popular this autumn...
Warm Toned MetalsGold and rose gold are our favourite metals this season because they look beautiful against autumn browns and oranges. Pair yellow and rose gold metals with pink gemstones like amethyst and ruby for a fashionable blush look. You could even mix it up a bit with opals and pearls too. Don't forget about the traditional autumn colours either, you can't go wrong with a traditional sapphire, garnet or peridot.
Matching SetsWant a more consistent look? Go for matching items! We don't know why, but matching jewellery sets can sometimes be overlooked. But this year is a little different; we have all of our attention on them! They look striking individually and with other pieces - you could have three different looks with many different outfits!
It's all about the EarringsStatement earrings are BACK! Hoops and drops are particularly fashionable this autumn. Instead of going for the classic large hoop, go for a smaller set or a pair with quirky details like these 9ct Gold Diamond Cut Hoop Earrings. The diamond cut effect puts a spin on the original plain hoop. As for drops, think twist, chain and bar drop designs. Geometric shapes are making a comeback too! Oh, and don't forget about those rose and yellow gold tones!
Autumn LeavesSometimes the best way to enjoy the seasons is to express it in your accessories! Leaf jewellery is always popular in the autumn, especially in rose and yellow gold. They're dainty, full of seasonal colour and have unique details - the recipe for a striking accessory. Wear gold, rose gold and even silver leaf jewellery.
