Let’s go back in time and start at the very beginning. Casio was founded by the four Kashio brothers: Tadao, Toshio, Kazuo and Yukio – the unique strengths of all four brothers, united as one. Casio has set the milestone in the history of watchmaking by developing one of the world’s first auto calendar watches, the Casiotron in 1974. The F100 was first released in 1977 with a digital display and four buttons labelled with four different coloured bars. This Casio timepiece was worn by Ridley Scott in the film Aliens that came out in 1979.
To this day, Casio continues to develop technologies around their mission statement ‘Creativity and Contribution’ creating products that solve problems, contributing to society and culture – a watch for all.
