Has Meghan Markle Redesigned Her Engagement Ring?

Image from ABC news.

When Meghan Markle makes a public appearance, it doesn’t take us long to become obsessed with her stylish outfits and accessories. Meghan has fabulous style and there’s no doubt that what she wears inspires many other women to dress with as much class as she does. Here at F.Hinds we’re self-confessed jewellery addicts, so we pay close attention to Meghan’s jewellery choices.

Every female member of the British Royal Family has been known for their lavish jewellery choices at some point or another. From Princess Diana’s controversial sapphire engagement ring to Princess Margaret’s rosebud-inspired ruby ring, the British Royal Family are jewellery and engagement ring trend setters.

On Saturday 8th June Meghan Made her first public appearance since showing off perfect Royal Baby Archie with some interesting new ring finger accessories. Meghan attended Trooping The Colour, the parade that honours Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, with nothing less than beauty, style and grace.

Meghan’s New Eternity Ring

We couldn’t help but notice a new ring on Meghan’s finger at Trooping The Colour– a pave-set yellow gold diamond ring that looks like it could be an eternity ring. Eternity rings can be given for any special occasion, but they’re most commonly given for the birth of a new baby, a wedding anniversary or simply to symbolise the everlasting love between the couple. Eternity rings contain diamonds that are set all the way around the band, a representation of eternal or everlasting love.

Meghan’s Redesigned Trilogy Engagement Ring

It wasn’t just a new eternity ring that we noticed; Meghan seems to have redesigned her engagement ring too! You may remember Meghan’s breathtaking trilogy engagement ring, given to her by Prince Harry for their engagement back in November 2017. The engagement ring featured a solid Welsh yellow gold band and was designed by Prince Harry himself, he told the BBC after their engagement, “The ring is obviously yellow gold because that’s [Meghan’s] favourite and the main stone itself is sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection, to make sure she’s with us on this crazy journey together.”

It didn’t take long for the public to spot the subtle changes made to Meghan’s engagement ring at Trooping The Colour. The engagement ring still holds the eye-catching trilogy style, but the band now appears to be paved with little diamonds. Meghan is known for her dainty jewellery choices, so it’s likely that she chose this redesign herself, perhaps to complement her pave set eternity ring.
