The brief:To set a customer's stone into a simple gold ring.
The process:Another classic, bespoke piece of jewellery where the customer came to us with their own stone and wanted it set into a gold ring.
This a such a beautiful stone, the design of the ring needed to be as simple as possible to really show it off. A white gold, 4 claw setting was chosen and the green stone was to be set horizontal to the shank, which we think works extremely well. If the emerald was set in the more conventional, perpendicular way, it may well have caught on clothes etc.
This ring is therefore not only stunning, but also very practical.
